We specialise in medium to low-volume design and manufacture of application-specific Thick film power resistors and high-voltage resistors. We also deliver heater resistors for medical applications, precision resistor networks, and obsolete resistor replacements.

 

Low to Medium Volume Resistor Manufacture

Low-volume custom resistor requirements are often of little interest to major resistor manufacturers. In contrast, TSEC’s manufacturing process is optimised to support thick film resistor manufacture in the low to medium volume usually required for specialised applications. Prototype Thick film resistors for analysis and approval can be delivered before committing to production.

Thick film resistor materials and processes are tailored to meet demanding performance requirements. TSEC has long-term experience in the best combination of materials and manufacturing processes to address a wide range of applications, combined with excellent relationships with many resistor material suppliers.
Specialist suppliers include Ferro, ESL, Heraeus, and Metech. New materials are regularly approved and added to the portfolio.

Thick film resistors deliver resistance values from a few Ohms to GigaOhms, whilst handling significant power loads in a compact form factor. They deliver stable performance characteristics at a reasonable cost. Thick film resistor technology is widely regarded as the most cost-effective solution for high-voltage and high-power applications.
